knit pouf cushion workshop
Knit Pouf Cushion Workshop
with Cara Corey, $95 all materials included
Thursday, May 16, 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Limit: 10 students
Learn how to make your own cozy modern pouf to complement your home décor, guided by knit and crochet designer Cara Corey. You will knit the cover piece using giant stuffed yarn and a simple stitch you can make with your hands rather than knitting needles. No experience necessary! Then you will learn how to make a fabric stuffing bag and stuff your pouf before closing it up.
The finished pouf is approximately 16 inches in diameter and 12 inches tall. The size can vary depending on the size of your loops. You will also learn how to adjust the size to make bigger or smaller poufs and other ways to stuff it for a more soft or firm filling.
Cara will provide soft fiberfill stuffing, however you can bring your own stuffing (old fabric or blankets, down pillow, foam cushion, etc.) if you like.
Cara secured a great price on a limited supply of the special yarn, so students can choose a yarn color preference in advance, however it is not guaranteed. If you don't request a color, you can choose from Cara’s supply on the day of the class (cream, light gray, dark gray, pink, turquoise and blue shown in photo).
